from Qatar with a Total prize fund of 110,000 US$, 25,000 is secured for the

The Fourth edition of the Qatargas Chess Championship 2017 , will organize by the Qatar Chess Association (QCA) from February 23 – 25, 2017 at the Al Muntaza Model Primary School for Boys.

Doha: The third edition of the Qatargas Chess Championship, organized by the Qatar Chess Association (QCA) was held from February 11 – 14, 2016 at the Al Muntaza Model Primary School for Boys. Nearly 120 boys and girls between 6 – 16 years old participated in the tournament.

Doha - Qatar, 03 February
2016: The third edition of the Qatargas Chess Championship, a chess
tournament organised by the Qatar Chess Association for
children in the age group of 6 - 16 years, will be held at the Al Muntaza
Model Primary School for Boys from 11 - 14 February 2016.
Qatargas is the title sponsor of this annual tournament which will be conducted as per the Swiss-system for rapid chess involving nine rounds with each round lasting 25 minutes and allowing ten seconds for every move.

ZONE 3.1 Chess Championship for Men & Women Doha-Qatar
The ZONE 3.1 Chess Championship for Men & Women in Doha - Qatar concluded on the 12th of May in Crowne Plaza Hotel after nine exiting days, where ten countries within the Zone 3.1 competed in the championship they were Qatar, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Palestine, UAE, Yemen, and for the first time in the history a new member the Kingdom of the Saudi Arabia. GM Darini Pouria from Iran Won the Men's Championship thus qualifying to the World Chess Cup 2013, and in the Women's section Qatari GM Zhu Chen won the championship and gained the right to compete in the Women's World Chess Championship 2014 click for Official website
